Brujos Izalco upset Isidro Metapan to take 2-1 lead in the series. Brujos Izalco outrebounded Isidro Metapan 44-28 including 16 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was naturalized Canadian point guard Jose Araujo (187-86, college: UNBC, agency: Interperformances) who scored 23 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Vincentian center Akeme Smart (218-91, college: McCook CC) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American Chris Blake (195-88, college: Detroit Mercy) who recorded 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and Nicaraguan center Bartel Lopez (213-89) added 13 points, 12 rebounds and 6 blocks respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.

Santa Tecla outgunned Quezaltepeque to sweep the semifinal series. Santa Tecla dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Quezaltepeque's 32. They outrebounded Quezaltepeque 62-34 including a 21-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Santa Tecla players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was a good game for Cuban Lisvan Valdes (196-88) who led his team to a victory with 34 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Venezuelan-Colombian power forward Michael Hinestroza (208-90, college: UALR) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 22 rebounds for the winners. Santa Tecla's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American Eddie Ishman (196-86, college: Miles) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import point guard Anthony Brown (196-89, college: Imperial Valley JC) added 17 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Quezaltepeque. Four Quezaltepeque players scored in double figures.
